Richard Cory Respond, Theme and Tone

Richard Cory it's a poem that describes a rich men, but also the author turn the aspects at the end. In my opinion the author was trying to tell us that even though we can have all the money, sometimes we can't buy happiness. The theme for this poem I believe it's that the outside didn't match the inside of the character. We thought we knew him but we didn't new him at all. The tone was sincere.
