Jimmy Santiago Baca Poem Response

So far in this poem, I feel the author (Jimmy Santiago Baca) is telling us that freedom is not free, because everywhere we go there's always rules or laws we need to follow. Also the nickname he uses for a character in the poem, "Coyote" I think he is referring to someone who has eran respect by doing things not excatly "legal."
