Link After Link

So as a class we started reading this article on John Steinbeck, which on many of the text had links to understand a deep meaning. I got interested on  how we humanize each other, because I was curious and I wanted to know more about that. The after reading a couple paragraphs I got interested by  how the darkest of circumstances illuminate the human search for meaning. This last link talk about how people in concentration camps find their  deepest spiritual meaning.

Prompt: Does The Great Gatsby symbolized a time period in the U.S, or can it be related to different times.
