What is the theme of "The Pedestrian"? The theme of "The Pedestrian" is form by the exposition, tone, and diction/syntax. One way to describe the theme is mysterious or intense. How does Bradbury get this message across? How do you k now? I believed Bradbury got his message across because although he experience being stopped by the police he combined his experience about the police event with his vision on self driving cars. In my opinion he did spread out his message because in a way, he predicted that in the future people would not need to go for a walk, because with the new technology they can just stay home, also he visualized self driving cars which now days we see all of these things happen. Describe the tone of the story. The tone of the story is composed by the background information. We been told at the beginning of the story that is winter night.
