Link After Link

So as a class we started reading  this article on John Steinbeck , which on many of the text had links to understand a deep meaning. I got interested on    how we humanize each other , because I was curious and I wanted to know more about that. The after reading a couple paragraphs I got interested by    how the darkest of circumstances illuminate the human search for meaning . This last link talk about how people in concentration camps find their  deepest spiritual meaning.

Interesting Fact!!!

So, today in my English class my teacher (Dr. Preston) gave a lesson about "hearing and listening". I"ll be posting my notes later, but after class ended I practiced the learning and at the end of the day I noticed most of the time I was hearing and not LISTENING!!!!

What's the difference between hearing and listening?

In my opinion the difference between hearing and listening is that whenever you hear something you're not given your full attention. For example once class in over you walk to you're next class and you're hearing conversation while walking but you don't know what their actually talking because you only heard them talk. However listening is when you give you full attention to something. For example if the teacher is given away the answer of the test you'll listen to him because is important. Is basically saying, if you hearing something you don't care as much to really listen on what is being talking.

SACRATIC SEMINAR NOTES

I took notes on the things my classmates were sharing specially my classmate Pablo. What I understood was that psychological we always gonna be feeling uncomfortable and little times where we feel comfortable. Also we always gonna have ups and downs in life, because that's basically how life works. They also talk about happiness and I was about to speak but I didn't. Now I want to say that many people say that until they accomplished a goal, then they will be happy, but I think that's wrong because you supposed to enjoy the journey while you're working to accomplish your goal. There was another think they shared and was about creativity. I totally agree with my classmate Pablo who said that every single person has a creative side but it's hard to express because we don't feel comfortable. I didn't give my opinion but sometimes the reason why it's because to be creative you must be irrational and since we want to fit in society we don't have the co

MUSIC AS LITERATURE

I believe we can consider music to be literature because it's a piece of writing which contains a message or can tell a story (romantic, adventure, etc.) The difference between a novel, a poem, a rap, a song, an opera, and a symphony is the way it sounds because they're all can be sing or read at the same speed but they're all different genres.

The Cactus by O. Henry

This story caught my attention because of the tittle sound it interesting for some reason. Also I read the caption and it said that Communication is Important. The story was about how the main character "Trysdale" was reflecting after going to ta weeding on his past reflection with the bride. The theme can be the decisions we made because the narrador explains how Trysdale relates a the cactus planted in a earthen jar because it's alone. However the actions and decisions he did kind of was the reason of losing her. After finishing reading the story I thought about how sometimes our ego doesn't let us do the right things, and that might cause us losing the people we love but we don't accepted. I will recommended to other people because the message is important since it talks about reflection.

The Little Match Girl by Hans Christian Andersen

It interested me because it was relate to the Holiday Sections. The plot of the story was about a girl who needed sell matches for her family but since one winter day she couldn't sell any match she was ashamed to go back to her house without any money, so she decided to stay in a nearby house's steps. She debates whether or not to light a match to warm herself up and at the end she does. She gets lost in her thought and sees her grandmother's reflection through the match's flames and after she finishes the box of matches she describes her grandmother taking her away to a better place. People walk by and talk say that the poor girl fell asleep in the house's steps but truly they don't know that she died of cold and sadness. The theme of the story can be not to get caught up in your sadness because it won't solve anything and you might suffer even more. After finishing reading the story it made me fell bad for the girl and sad because it made me think abou

WHAT I HOPE TO ACCOMPLISHED IN YOUR LEARNING BY JUNE 2018

This second semester I'll like to accomplished a well done presentation about my Big Question. Not to mention put more effort to al of my classes.

THE NEXT STEPS I'LL TAKE IN EXPLORING MY BIG QUESTION!!!!!!!!

I'll like to explore how the first political movements occurred in the world, and how it has changed. Also I'll be researching all the origins of the things in my question and compare them to now days movements.

A DESCRIPTION OF THE BENEFIT TO INVESTIGATING MY BIG QUESTION A AND HOW THIS WILL HELP ME AND THE WORLD IN GENERAL

In my opinion the BENEFIT I'm getting by researching this topic is to fully understand why do we want to show or prove that our thoughts, organization or other are saying the truth. Don't take me wrong, what I mean by this statement is that sometimes we focus a lot to prove it and we don't listen to other people' opinions and results as a conflict. If I can understand  this I'm going to be capable of informing people when debating. My vision of how this can benefit the world in general it's to know the things we doing good and the bad things on our own human race by putting so many things (organizations) people can follow and just separating us little by little.

A BRIEF SUMMARY OF THE ROAD TO MY BIG QUESTION

It all started from listening to music, and realizing what was happening around me. Sometimes there is key content in serval songs that talks about issues in the world, and many people don't really talk about, so it makes it hard to see an actual change. Also seeing some issues like political, economic labels, religion, etc. in my own country makes me think about other countries as well. Sometimes I just seat and think about all these issues going on, but I most confess it's not easy to do something. Even my self have tried  to do it and people resist. However I appreciate Dr. Preston gave us this project about a Big Question, and it was hard to put this topic in a question but I think I put it together. Now I'm going to do my best to let people know about this issues and show them what I have done about it and maybe I'll inspire somebody to make a positive change.

DESCRIPTION OF MY BIG QUESTION AND WHY I GOT INTERESTED!!!!!!!

The description of my big question was hard to say it at first, because there was so many things to put in and I pretty sure I can express it now. Well, my Big Question is about why there are many political parties, religions, borders, and economic labels, if instead of us getting together (closer) we're getting apart. This grab my attention because I always see it happen in my own community and nation. For example when the presidential election was around, or when the people from different religion talk, they always try to prove their religion speaks the truth and no other religion does. Also by looking at the world itself, the news about Terrorism attacks, and how people are treated by the social classes, the just the question itself, It's something I say it's separating us somehow. The main reason why I choose this question is because I wanna see a positive change in the world were instead of getting apart we can get along and get together.
